Chromecast automatically Wake Up when starting Music Stream

Is it possible to set Chromecast to wake up and turn my TV on when starting a music stream to a speaker group that it is part of?

Currently when I begin a stream to a speaker group that my Chromcast is part of it will stay asleep and TV off. It would be great if the Chromecast would automatically turn on when streaming to any group it is part of.

This would be especially helpful during morning routines where the TV has been off all night.

Unfortunately, currently, there isn't a direct way to configure your Chromecast to directly turn on your TV and itself when starting a music stream to a speaker group.

However, that's a great idea! I recommend filling out this feedback form. This form is checked by our development team directly, and your interest in such a feature can help make it a reality.

I don’t understand what reasoning Google could have for allowing a chromecast device to be added to a speaker group if they weren’t intending for it to be powered on automatically.
