Google voice assistance not working with gogle chromcast HD remote.

I've been using the Google Chromecast HD device for about a year and a half now. However, for the past six months, the voice assistance feature hasn't been working properly. Whenever I press the voice button on the remote, it shows activity on the screen but doesn't respond to commands. I'm unsure whether this is a hardware problem or a software issue. Interestingly, when I attempt the same commands using the Google Home app on my mobile phone, everything works perfectly fine. I've made sure that the device is running the latest software version.

Please support fixing this issue with Chromecast remote.
