I have done ALL of the suggested options to reset, etc.
Tried numerous HDMI ports and TVs.
Same situation with all of them.
Remote controls the volume on TV but nothing else.
Light on the devise is a constant yellow.

Unfortunately, a solid orange (yes, it looks yellow-ish) is a bad sign.

That shows that they device has locked up and is not rebooting.

You say you have tried everything but have you tried doing a Factory Reset using the button on the Chromecast device?

If you have done that and you are still stuck, then only thing I would suggest is to try a different power cord and block (they are standard, you don't have to use Google's). Never plug a Chromecast directly into the USB ports on your TV.

If NONE of that works, it sounds like your device has failed. Use this to check the warranty on it:

The volume control is still working because the remote talks directly to the TV for that and doesn't involve the Chromecast. That will still work even if you unplug the Chromecast and disconnect it from the TV.
