I bought a Chromecast some time ago, connected my phone to Chromecast, everything worked fine.

At some point I did something and Chromecast stopped showing up as an available device on my phone.

I restarted the Chromecast, even to factory settings, I deleted the memory on the phone (Clear data and Empty cache) from the Google Home and Google TV apps, added all permissions to these apps - and it didn't help, the phone still won't connect to the Chromecast. I'm completely helpless.

I checked another phone - same story.

You can easily connect to Chromecast from a PC with Chrome.

Since then, I have restarted the router with a hard reset (for another reason), and it did not help either.

At the same time, the phone easily connects to the PC via KDE Connect.
The router is set to 2.4ghz (it only supports it) - I'm writing because I read that it may be important.

What should I do?

Firstly, it's great that you've already taken some steps to resolve the issue, such as restarting the Chromecast, resetting it to factory settings, and clearing data and cache from the Google Home and Google TV apps.

Since you've tried those steps and the issue persists, here are a few more potential causes and solutions to consider:

1. **Wi-Fi Connectivity**: As you mentioned, the router is set to 2.4GHz, which is a common frequency band used by Chromecast devices. However, it's possible that there might be interference or issues with your Wi-Fi network. Try restarting your router again or resetting it to its default settings.
2. **Phone's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Settings**: Ensure that your phone's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi settings are enabled and set to discoverable mode. You can also try restarting your phone or disabling and re-enabling Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
3. **Chromecast's IP Address**: Check the Chromecast's IP address by connecting it to a PC using Chrome. You can find the IP address in the Chrome browser's address bar. Make sure that the IP address is not changed or blocked by your router or firewall.
4. **Phone's App Permissions**: As you've already checked, ensure that the Google Home and Google TV apps have the necessary permissions to access your phone's Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings.
5. **Chromecast Firmware Update**: Check if there's a firmware update available for your Chromecast device. You can do this by going to the Google Home app, clicking on the three horizontal lines (menu), and selecting "Settings" > "Chromecast" > "Check for updates".
6. **Other Devices Interference**: If you have other devices connected to your router, try disconnecting them one by one to see if any of them are interfering with the Chromecast's connection.

Regarding your observation that you can easily connect to Chromecast from a PC using Chrome, this suggests that the issue might be specific to your phone or its connection to the Chromecast.

As you mentioned that you can easily connect to another device (PC) using KDE Connect, it might be worth investigating whether there's an issue with your phone's Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connectivity.

Now I restarted the phone and... it started working. xD
This is idiotic, but apparently the order of activities is important.
First, clear the Google Home and Google TV memory, and only then restart the phone.
