How to turn off Ambient Mode?

Chromecast HD automatically goes into ambient mode after 10 minutes overriding the Amazon Music Unlimited app I'm running on it (which is the main reason I bought the device as Amazon music in Chromecast has Dolby Atmos decoding enabled.)

How do I turn it off and if that's not possible, then why was such a basic and essential feature that every single TV and media player on the planet includes (Screensaver: Off option) not implemented in Chromecast?

Seriously Google needs to get it together. If the answer is "not possible" my device is going in the rubbish.
