Hello!

Thank you for the answer.

The integrated Google tv operating system does not bring the option to choose the resolution.

If I go into options and the "image and sound" tab opens me a submenu where it takes me directly to the picture settings of the tv (exiting the Google OS).

The tv is a bravia XR-75X95L the top of the range miniled model from last year and is updated as well as the Google tv OS.

Naturally it supports 4k, Dolby Vision, HLG and HDR.

I find it amazing that on the chromecast with Google tv I can put the resolution in 4k and on the OS Google tv of my tv not..

Jose.

Hello, everybody! I have a bravia tv with Google tv integrated as operating system, and the interface resolution is 1080p and I can not put it in 4k. Is it normal?

Hiya!

You can change the resolution inside the settings. By default, it seems to pick up 1080p as standard from my own device when using Chromecast/Google TV. I have found a few links to change the resolution:

Display settings for Chromecast with Google TV - Chromecast Help

Change Display settings on Chromecast/Google TV

Also, another reason is that the TV may not support 4K interface is due to compatibility as some TVS don't support 4K panels. So to make sure 4K is supported be sure to check Bravia Manufacturers Specifications to find with resolution it supports to. Also do ensure software is up to date as well to ensure any bug fixes are applied.

Let us know if the issue is resolved and I hope this helps!

- Autumn
