YouTube doesn't have a cast button

Ohayō!

I don't know which Chromecast I have, it said "Chromecast" on the box and it's a round gray button with a small cord on the side that connects to HDMI. It works fine with an iPad but not a regular non-rooted Android phone with latest ColorOS.

The built-in YouTube app doesn't have a cast button, but it's connected to the same WiFi AP without client isolation, same subnets (IP and legacy IP), same broadcast domain, etc. I can screencast from the Android settings menu, but that just mirrors the display.

How do I tell YouTube to use chromecast?

To better assist you, I'd like to ask the following:

Is the Chromecast successfully set up in the Google Home app?
Is the Cast button missing just for YouTube, or does it happen with other apps?
Is the router located at a hotel, school, dorm, or business?
What's the make and model of the device you use to cast?
Do you have a virtual private network (VPN) configured on your phone?

For now, I'd suggest the following:

Make sure your mobile device, Chromecast, and router are within 15 to 20 feet of each other.
Ensure you have the latest versions of the Google Home app and your phone software version.
Uninstall the Google Home app and reinstall it again.
Perform a restart on the router. Disconnect the Wi-Fi router from the socket and leave it unplugged for 2 minutes.
Reboot your Chromecast device. For instructions, you can check out the following article: Reboot your Chromecast device.
Try plugging the Chromecast into another HDMI port.
