I can't pair my Chromecast remote with a Beam project.

I have a problem with my Chromecast remote not pairing to my beam projector or soundbar volume and power buttons.

When I go to Remotes&Accessories -> Set up remote buttons -> Add device -> TV or soundbar, nothing happens.
It should bring up a list of devices that can be paired, but it just shows a loading mark for a second and then goes back to the Add device step.

The problem is that I've paired this beam projector with two Chromecast 4Ks in the past with no issues. One was due to a broken remote, one was slowed down to the point of being unusable, so I bought another one, and this is the first time I've had a remote button pair failure.

Chromecast support says that Chromecast is not recommended to be used with BeamProject, so I have to prove to them that I can connect another BeamProject to my Chromecast and get the same error before they will accept it as a Chromecast error.

Does anyone have any experience with resolving this error? Please help 😞

There are a few options to troubleshoot the issue and a list of devices that can connect to your Nest Chromecast. Sometimes, additional steps can work, like disconnecting the Nest Chromecast. Wait a few minutes and do a reboot. Here are the steps to reboot your Nest Chromecast. Also, please try to reboot your router to refresh the connection and pair again.
