Kid screen time limits do not work

The children screen time limit is just about useless. Sometimes it works, most of the time, it does not. This is an issue that affects both of my children's profiles. I have set time limits on the Google TV using Google's instructions for setting them, but the device regularly allows kids to watch past their limit. I have updated the firmware, I have unset and reset the limits, I have deleted and remade the kids' profiles multiple times. And no they are not adding bonus time, they do not know the PIN, and this happens even when I've made sure they do not have the remote.

This has been a problem for YEARS, yet I haven't seen a single mention of Google doing anything to address this major flaw in an advertised feature.

Can we have an update on this? Is anything at all being done to address this?

To better assist you, I’d like to ask a couple questions:

Does this inconvenience occur with all content types?
What is the manufacturer of your TV?

In the meantime, you can try the following troubleshooting steps on your Google TV device:

Clear the cache.
Check for any available updates.
Restart the device. You can refer to the next article: Fix problems with videos in your library.
Try setting a daily bedtime to see if the inconvenience persists with this feature as well.
