First, try to unplug the Chromecast device from the main power grid for about 5 minutes then plug it back in.

If the problem persists, hard reset the Chromecast device and perform the entire setup procedure.

I tried to cast crave tv and as I did that my internet cut out. ( its a regular issue just happens for a few seconds and then it starts working shortly after) . I dont know what happened but now my chromecast displays only one backgroind image. No time or date . I just removed the device through my google home app and now when I try to reconnect it it says I am unable to connect with the device. I cant do a factort reset. What do I do to resolve this? The chromecast will display a single background image that doesnt change still no time or date. I cant connect after waiting.
