      <title>Chromecast: no surround when casting from Computer</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;hi all,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have a Chromecast TV HD and when casting from VLC or PLEX (from computer) there is no surround sound, only stereo.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;However when using the Amazon Prime App included in the Chromecast it produces surround in DD.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Also when switching to my old Chromecast V3 it plays sound in surround (DD).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Chromecast is connected in a recent Denon AVR.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Do you have any idea how to fix it please?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I understand how frustrating that situation can be. But don't worry, I can help. Could you please confirm if you already changed the surround settings?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Here is how:&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Make sure the device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network&amp;nbsp;or signed in or linked to the same account as the Google Nest, Home, or Chromecast device.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;OL&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;Open the Google Home app.&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;Tap the device card.&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;At the top right, tap Settings.&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;Under Device features, tap Audio &amp;gt; Surround Sound.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/OL&gt;
