BritBox does not work on new Google Streamer

Anyone manage to get BritBox to work on the new Streamer? Mine just refuses to launch. Tried power off and back on. Just doesn't work. This is a deal breaker for me.

I don't have Britbox at the moment so hopefully another Community member can chime in...

Because the device is new the app developers may not have finished adding updates to their apps. I would suggest reaching out to Britbox support and see if they can offer any info.

In the meantime, try deleting and reistalling Britbox. Check for any Google Streamer firmware updates in the settings as well. (Settings and then System and then About and then System update)

I have the same problem. I've installed, uninstalled, reinstalled and have not got anywhere. I contacted Britbox tech support and they are not helpful so far. But I did see a Reddit trail where lots of people have the same problem so it's not just us.

Same here. I tried everything and can't get BritBox to work. I reconnected my Chromecast on another HDMI port on Denon receiver just for BritBox.

Oh and just to add, you can cast from the app to the device until a fix gets rolled out.

Issue with an App not opening on Goggle TV Streamer(BritBox)

Successfully installed the new 4k Streamer on my Vizio TV. All apps (Netflix, YouTube, etc,) function with no issues. One application (BritBox) does not open and remains frozen.

The BritBox app works on my older Google streaming device.

Any advice.

I've put my old chromecast back. Don't want to switch between two of them. Hoping this gets fixed soon.

I have the same problem I can install Britbox it just won’t open. Can’t get past the login on Foxtel either.

BritBox apparently removed their app from the play store. Hopefully, this was done because they are working on a fix that will be available soon.

I contacted the Britbox team here in Canada and they are aware of the issue and are working on it. I have been able to watch Britbox content by streaming it from my computer though. I guess that will have to do for now. Better than nothing I suppose. I was advised to try downloading it once a week or so until it's been fixed.

I'm in Canada and had the same issue, except I could not download it to the device. The error notice said it was not compatible with my device. Until it got fixed I used my computer to cast it to my TV. Britbox advised me to try downloading it from the Play Store once a week till it's fixed. It worked fine a week later Hope that helps to get you back to Britbox...
