Google TV Streamer - HDMI 2.1 flashing screen with LG G2

if I use a HDMI 2.1 cable with the new Google TV Streamer. I will have a constant blinking screen.

The screen will flash blank over and over, multiple ports and cables tried.

Normal HDMI cable works fine.

What is the make and model of your TV set? LG G2
Could you please confirm if the non-functional HDMI 2.1 cable is the Google Ultra High-Speed HDMI Cable? It's a cable from Amazon https://amzn.to/3Yczrfa I've also tried a cable matters brand.
Could you please let me know if the HDMI cable you tried is an HDMI 2.1 Type A cable? I'm not sure
