Hello,

I have the new Google TV Streamer. I previously used the Google TV Chromecast 4K. I am encountering an issue with the CEC function: when turning on the TV, it powers on correctly, but the soundbar doesn't turn on. The TV is a Philips model, and the soundbar is a JBL AIO 2.0. Do you have a solution?

I have the same issue connected to Onkyo AVR. CEC power on works fine. CEC power off is a crap shoot.

For me and the Onkyo receiver, here are my responses:

Did you configure your Google TV Streamer remote to control devices like your TV, receiver, or soundbar by setting up the volume, power, and input buttons? - no, I'm using CEC for volume which works fine. Did not set IR for anything.

What have you done to resolve the inconvenience? - I have to turn the streamer back on, then immediately back off again. Then it triggers the AVR to shutdown.

Did you check that the HDMI cable is securely plugged into the correct HDMI port, ARC or eARC, on your TV and your soundbar? - Yes

Is your soundbar firmware updated? - Yes

Is the HDMI-CEC setting activated on the Google TV Streamer and the soundbar? - Yes

Does the sound bar have Bluetooth enabled? - No

Ça fonctionnait super bien avec la chromecast google tv 4k...

Based on the information you provided, I suggest following these steps:

Go to All Settings (the screw icon) at the top right of the TV screen.
Select Remotes & Accessories
Choose the option "Set up remote buttons."
From the Volume control, select the Google TV Streamer 4K.

After these steps, please make sure to select the HDMI CEC option on your Google TV Streamer 4K and on your TV set.

But I don't want to have the volume control the google tv streamer. I want it to control my AVR volume.

Go to Settings, then go to Remotes & Accessories Set up remote buttons.
Select the relevant device to troubleshoot, for example, a Sony TV, in this case your AVR or JBL soundbar, then go to Setup buttons and reconfigure the controls for volume or power.
- Note: Keep in mind that the Voice Remote might not be able to send an infrared (IR) signal to the sensor.

If still not working after following the steps above, I will suggest you to factory reset the voice remote control.
