No History of YouTube Videos watched on Google TV Chromecast

Just got a brand-new Google TV Chromecast device. Works perfectly except when I watch a YouTube video using the Google TV Chromecast, there is no history of YouTube videos watched on the Chromecast displayed in YouTube. However, if I watch a YouTube video on another device (laptop, cellphone, etc.) the video shows up in my Google TV Chromecast YouTube history. I cannot find any setting for this and cannot figure it out. A hard reset is the next step but wanted to check here first. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
