Chromecast not allowing update

Hello

Bought Chromecast with Google TV (HD) July . Set up well ram for a few months and now a update pops up when I turn it on. I can bypass it by turning it off but when the up date is on you can not select the update now button or the update later button.

I tried a manual update, on chrome cast and via the app. Turned it off and on. Factory reset. Tried using different wifi and hot spotted it. I'm at a loss. Can anyone help? Less than 2months and it's not buggered but really annoying having to turn it on then off then on again. Cheers

Did you receive any error message?

Does the streaming device keep downloading the update?

Hi Byron thank you for getting back to me

What is displayed on your TV screen? The download option is on the screen. I can not use the remote or my phone to select the options to update now or later. If I use the remote the Home screen reacts behind
Did you receive any error message? No
Is the update stuck at a certain percentage? No
Does the streaming device keep downloading the update? No

Does that give you any ideas,
