      <title>2nd gen. Chromecast problem</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I've used this Chromecast for years to stream from my tablet and phone mostly prime videos.&amp;nbsp; Never a problem with buffering or dropping/screen going black.&amp;nbsp; Oct 9th I subscribed to Sling TV specifically to watch the baseball playoffs and World series.&amp;nbsp; At the 3 hour mark of streaming a game the TV screen goes black.&amp;nbsp; When I try to restart, the phone still thinks casting is happening.&amp;nbsp; I stop the casting, then cast again.&amp;nbsp; Now the picture is fuzzy and buffering every 10 seconds, never clears up.&amp;nbsp; At the same time I opened Sling on my tablet and watched the remainder of the game.&amp;nbsp; I thought initially the problem was with Sling but I can watch the entire game on the tablet, but it drops at 3 hours on the TV cast.&amp;nbsp; I've reset the router, rebooted Chromecast by unplugging it.&amp;nbsp; What do I need to check next?&amp;nbsp; Could the Chromecast be dying, it does feel warm?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Daniel,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks for help here!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have reset the chromecast and I just finished trying to determine if the problem happens with other apps.&amp;nbsp; I was able to cast for 4 hours from Amazon prime video a Live program with no problems of it dropping or buffering.&amp;nbsp; What I haven't done is try to cast for 3+ hours something besides baseball playoffs and the world series from the Sling app.&amp;nbsp; Is there something about a big event/program that would be more prone to dropping?&amp;nbsp; My TV is vintage 2013, Vizio, and it's only semi-smart.&amp;nbsp; No ability to add more apps and some of the apps really aren't functional.&amp;nbsp; I think this TV was at the early stage of smart technology.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I did also reset the router.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Sherry aka Dalgal&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;I appreciate you staying informed with me and for having done the previous troubleshooting steps above the post.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It seems like the problem might be specific to the Sling TV app, unlike the Google Chromecast, which can cast other streaming services. I recommend reaching out to the Sling TV app. They'll be able to provide the most accurate advice on how to get the app working properly again.&lt;/P&gt;
