YouTube Suddenly Doesn't Work

Suddenly, after using our Chromecast for years with no issue, it will not play YouTube. It works on Netflix and Disney+, and even lets us navigate all around YouTube, but if I try to play an actual YouTube video the screen goes black and nothing happens. This is true whether we try to start the video from the Chromecast or casting from a phone. We can play YT on our phones or computers on the same network.

We have YT Premium in large part for the awesome selection we have on the TV, so this is a big blow right now.

Have you checked if the device is updated?
Does the issue start after an update?
What type of Chromecast do you have?

Thank you for your reply. Could you please confirm if the issue started after an update?, you can also try to do a factory reset on your Chromecast and try again to use YouTube.
