Google TV Streamer stall during updates

From new I have setup my Streamer it than went thru the update, it downloaded the update but when it went to load it my screen went black and nothing seems to happen. This is my 2nd go ad I took my first one back thinking it was faulty it was doing exactly the same thing. If I go to check the source I can see the download screen in the preview for the hdmi I have the until plugged into but when select it I get black screen

For your concern, please try the below steps:

Factory data reset Google TV Streamer device. Follow: How to reset your Chromecast or Google TV Streamer
Change the power outlet and connect directly to the wall.
Change the HDMI port.
Confirm that your device is online on your Google Home app when you finish the setup.
