    <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/630654"&gt;@Rsherman&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We've had the battery camera plugged in with Google Nest's optional power cable since Sept. 2021, and it's been "Live" and online ever since we installed it. &amp;nbsp;Judging from other posts in this forum, you might have to delete and reinstall your camera if you add a power cable now; it seems Google Nest sets some sort of setting during the install that tells Google Nest the camera is plugged in, rather than running on battery power.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Can I use a outdoor charging cable and keep my nest camera plugged in and mount on my floodlights setup. My camera is currently saying dead battery and I don't want to have to keep take it off to recharge.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
