Issue with remote

My chromecast remote works to turn my TV on, adjust volume and change input. However it does not work to control my chromecast. For the last few days I've been using the remote within the Google home app to control my chromecast.

I've tried replacing the batteries, this doesn't work. I've also tried using the chromecast with remote on another TV - this also does not work. Please help!

Bummer but that's what I would do.

Hope they get you all fixed and you are able to use the remote again!
