Google TV Streamer bug - Ambient mode > Recent highlights fails to show date and location

Hi, I have a bug on my Google TV Streamer where in Ambient mode > Google Photos, when Recent highlights are selected, the Streamer fails to show date and location. This worked perfectly fine on my Chromecast with Google TV 4K and same account. Common issue? Please advise.

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear about the situation that you are experiencing with the ambient mode that is not showing the date and location of your photos from your Google Photos account. I understand how frustrating this situation can be. But don't worry; help is here. In this case, you can follow the next steps to check if these settings are enabled for your ambient mode:

Go to Settings.
Select System.
Select Ambient Mode > Settings.
Select Personal photo data > Show.
Select Start now to bring up the ambient screensaver.

Hi, I have checked both in this menu (turning the option off and back on) and in the Google Home app on phone, it is enabled, but the Google TV Streamer just shows "Recent highlights" text in the bottom left corner in Ambient mode.

Hi, sure, i have tried many times, everything is updated. Tested both using Home app on phone and in the TV Streamer settings.

Hi again,

I have found a way to trigger this error on my Streamer.

Setting device language to other than English, for example Austrian German will show: "Recent hightlights" only.

Setting device language to UK English, the device will show: date - place - "recent highlights"

The issue it not solved, but i found a temporary workaround for this bug where changing Google TV Streamer language to other than English results in Recent highlights in Ambient mode not showing date and location. I've used the form to contact customer support.
