Streamer 4k remote freezing

My Google streamer remote randomly freezes almost every day after long time of not using, usually in the morning. It is just not reacting to any button presses and only taking batteries out helps. Is there any way to fix it? Factory reset or something?

Before I begin. I need to ask a few questions:

How long was the remote functional before it stopped working?
Can you describe what was happening to the streaming device and remote 5 minutes prior to the remote not working?
Are there any error messages from the streaming device when this situation occurred? If so, can you please take a picture of the error message?
What type of batteries did you use? Are the original batteries included in the box?
