Chromecast remote doesn’t work only for select button (the middle button on top)

Just yesterday my remote chromecast doesn’t work when I press on select button. I already changed the remote batteries and also checked the software update. Everything is okay except this one button.

i just did the factory reset now and it’s stuck at choose language on my TV screen. How can i fix this remote ? Or should i buy a new one
