Device utility is useless.

Google Home will not add new device.

Reset Chromecast does nothing.

Can you confirm if you are using an Android or iPhone device to control your Chromecast?
Did you factory reset the Chromecast?
Are you getting any error messages after performing the factory reset or during the setup process?

If you cannot see the title of your Chromecast device on the Google Home app, I recommend you follow the next instructions:

Open the Google Home app.
Tap Devices, then tap “Add” (the plus icon).
Then select the option “Google Nest or partner device.”.
Complete the setup steps.
