Google Assistant et Chromecast Audio issue (Deezer + Speaker Groups)

Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue with my Chromecast Audio: when I ask Google Assistant to play music on it, it says "OK"... but nothing happens. 😕

The same issue occurs when I try to play music on a speaker group that includes the Chromecast Audio.

The only way I can get music to play is by manually casting from the Deezer app.

Does anyone have an idea how to fix this?

Hello,

I've the same (or very similar) issue.

We use a nest mini to control a Chromecast audio (connected to some hifi speakers in the same room), this worked flawlessly until last week.

Oddly the nest mini acknowledges the command to play the music on the Chromecast (no error message), but actually does nothing if Deezer is the selected music service.

Changing the service to YouTube music works properly, and we can cast from the Deezer app to the Chromecast audio.

Any help much appreciated!

Same issue here- acknowledges command but does not send signal to the Chromecast audio
