Chromecast with Google TV and Spectrum to change channels

Hello,

I am product expert and I have an issue that I cannot find documentation on.

I have Charter Spectrum for internet.

I have a Chromecast for Google TV

Why/ how can I change channels or go to a channel using the Google Remote?

If it is not possible, Please just say that!

Very frustrating for sure.

Hey Michael, it's not possible, as the CCwGTV remote has no numbers it can't send the code to the TV or cable box to change the channel -- it's all scrolling and scrubbing. Streaming has no need to assign channels as is required under a cable system or broadcast network.

If you use YouTubeTV, note that the program guide for CCwGTV is not number-based at all, all channels (streams) are listed by network. Assistant is packed into the system so as an option to scrolling, you can tell it to watch "ESPN2" or "CNBC", numbers aren't necessary.
