YouTube sign in chromcast 3rd gen

With an update chromecast (3rd Gen) keeps asking to sign into YouTube. This is solely controlled by a nest speaker and never casts from phone or computer (for my quadriplegic mom who cannot hold a phone or remote). How do I sign into her YouTube account (NOT YouTube tv)??

I apologize about the late response on this thread, thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that sign-in issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, as I can imagine this gets tricky when only controlling the Chromecast using a Nest speaker. Let me just ask you some questions about what's happening:

When did this issue start happening?
Is she logged into her Google Account on the Google Home app?
Is she logged into her Google Account on the YouTube app?
What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?
