Google TV Streamer Freeze

I recently purchased a Google TV Streamer due to the Chromecast issue (Gen 2) however when watching live TV it constantly freezes (randomly) and sometimes goes to a blank screen, after a few seconds (abt. 1 min) it begins to play then freezes again. I am using Wi-Fi

I have;

Ensured all devices firmware are up to date
Router is approx 3 metres away with no obstructions
Confirmed speeds 52 MBPS

Any suggestions would be appreciated as it is very frustrating.

Note: Only happens on live TV NOT other sources such as stored media. e.g. Plex.

Thank you for posting in the community. I understand that your Google TV Streamer (4K) constantly freezes and sometimes goes to a blank screen. I apologize for any inconvenience caused and I appreciated all the information you shared.

To resolve this situation, i'd like to share with you a few questions:

May I know which other apps this is happening to?
When did the inconvenience start?
What troubleshooting have you done so far

In the meantime, please try to do the troubleshooting below:

Make sure that you're using the HDMI certified 2.1 cable to connect since the Google TV Streamer requires one to work.
Reboot your Google TV Streamer (4K)
