Zigen tech support advised my connectivity problem has to do with Chromecast w/ GTV does not keep the clock “HDMI handshake “ active. Clock is necessary in order for TV and source to link up. This not important when consumer devices are connected via short HDMI cables however, this is a must when HDBaseT extenders an in use. The solution is to introduce a splitter or re-clocker into the mix to keep the handshake alive. Adding today and will update with the results.

I have a Zigen HDMI Extender that shuts down when my CCGTV goes to "sleep". I need it to stay active so the extender doesn't shut down. Suggestions?!?

Go into the settings of your Chromecast with Google TV (top right corner of your TV screen).

There is a timeout setting there. I'm not sure if you can make it NOT timeout but I know you can extend the time by a lot. The default is way to short.
