Chromecast- No Devices Found

Chromecast works fine from phone and used to be ok from Chrome on my macbook but now I can't find it when I 'Cast' from Chrome browser. "No Devices Found". Definitely on the same wi-fi and have tried resetting laptop, chromecast, chrome app is up to date etc.

I'm having the same problem with my HP Win 10 laptop. I can't use my tablet which has Google Home on it as the screen is broken. So am really struggling. Chrome is up to date.

I apologize about the late response, thank you for being patient on this! Were you able to fix that casting issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, as I know these issues can be difficult to troubleshoot on your own. Let me just ask you some questions about what's happening:

When did this issue start happening?
Are you on a 2.4GHz network, or a 5GHz network?
Are you able to cast from Google Canary?
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Google Chrome?
What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?
