I am having this issue as well. the previous version of the android has no issue at all until the device is auto updated to this android 14! Like you said, zigzag lines when casting the laptop screen from chrome, not able to view at all. Google please fix it!!!

Which Chromecast device do you have?
- Chromecast with Google TV 4K

What is the firmware version of your Chromecast device?
- 3.72.446070

Is the Google Chrome browser version updated?
- Yes. Version 134.0.6998.89 (Official Build) (64-bit)

I just tried to cast it and it is still the same. Please help.

I have the same problem Chrome is up to date Version 134.0.6998.166 (Official Build) (arm64)

Should be Chromecast issue, not chrome. I tried it from Edge also the same. Google needs to fix it with a new update!

Hi, I haven’t used the Chromecast since experiencing the casting issue, but I just connected it and it was able to cast like before without any problems! I checked the system update page, and it shows an available update: UTTC.241218.008H1 (809MB). The details say: "This software update includes: upgrades Android TV from version 12 to 14," but my current version is already Android 14 (UTTC.241218.004.12950887). I have no idea why it suddenly started working again, especially since I haven’t done anything. Anyway, I don’t think I’ll upgrade the system software for now. Maybe you can try yours and see if the issue is resolved like it was for me?
