Can you use Chromecast to cast videos from your computer that are not on Google? I just got a Chromecast device and I have installed it on my Samsung TV and my phone. I can see how to "cast" video and audio and pictures from a Chrome website but not from recordings situated on my computer hard drive. Thanks

You will need a media-server like Plex to cast local files
