I have similar issue too. It was working fine yesterday after “the fix” that Google rolled out.

What is the specific model and generation of your Google streaming device? Here’s a helpful article about how to identify the model of your device.
Do you have an Android or iOS phone?

In the meantime, I'd suggest the following:

Ensure the Google Home app is fully updated.
Perform a factory reset on the Chromecast device and restart your phone. Refer to this article for instructions: How to factory reset your Chromecast.
