Onn HD streaming stick

Walmart recently sold me an Onn HD streaming stick this morning. I have a problem where my streaming stick connects to my hotspot on my phone, but it keeps disconnecting from my home wifi every two to five seconds. My T-Mobile home internet system automatically switches between 2.4 and 5 GHz, and the device operates at both speeds. If someone can help me resolve this, I have 20 on anything.
