i accidentally updated my chromecast 4k to andriod 14 is they any way to rollback to andriod 12 or is they any news with a fix for the andriod 14 tv

Google still hasn't released a patch to fix the bugs after updating to Android 14...
The only response we get is "The team is aware and is working on a fix ASAP"

Google, when will you fix the bug and release a patch?

The issue is consistent. Everything lag and stutters all the time. In every streaming app. Youtube, netflix, max. Even GeForce now.

In YouTube it starts stuttering as soon as you go above 720p. There was absolutely no problems before latest firmware update

Exactly the same for me.

My "outdated" devices with android 12 still work fine.

The Chromecast with Google TV 4k is unusable since the update to android 14

Video is playing in slow motion, the audio at normal speed and, every couple of seconds the video jumps to catch-up with the audio and continues in slow motion and... Repeat.

I'm pretty sure this is not good for the mental health of anyone because it's infuriating and stressful to watch.

Even more disappointing to see the questions from Google on these posts... Do they use their own products? To reproduce:

Buy a Chromecast with Google TV 4k

Install some apps that play video in 4k

Use the device

There you go, you now understand what everyone is complaining about

Tiktok randomly reboots google tv. Not the chromecast itself. Very annoying.

My Google Chromecast Tv 4K works fine. The only problem is that my device doesn't see the connected USB drive and google still hasn't released a fix...

Beside h264 playback. The following issues occur.

Tiktok reboots google tv after a white, seems random when.

Weak or missing WiFi pop-up, this never occured on android 12.

No Access to USB devices.

No adb debugging.

So lease google get stuff in order. Or put an ota update to android 12.

I was perfecly happy with my gcwgtv until the update.

When will you release a patch to fix the bug where Chromecast Google TV 4K does not see the USB drive. It's been over a month and I still can't use my device.
