    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Ever since the Chromecast firmware issue was fixed, whenever I cast from Chrome on my Macbook onto Chromecast 2nd gen the audio stops after about 30 seconds. The video is still playing but the audio just stops.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any tips on troubleshooting this?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Please provide the information requested below to determine the reason why you're experiencing this:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Is the TV connected to an external receiver, soundbar, or speakers?&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Is&amp;nbsp;the TV on mute?&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Do you use an HDMI monitor?&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/UL&gt;
&lt;P&gt;In the meantime, you can follow the troubleshooting steps below:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;OL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Close all open browser tabs and restart the Chrome browser.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Make sure the Chrome browser is up-to-date.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Reboot the computer.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Disable&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;Allow all sites to initiate mirroring:&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;In the address bar&lt;STRONG&gt;,&amp;nbsp;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;type chrome://flags/.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Search for&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;Allow all sites to initiate mirroring&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;and set to&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Disable&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;LI&gt;(For MacOS 15 or later) Turn on Local Network:

&lt;LI&gt;On your Mac computer (MacOS15 or later), open System Settings.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Select &lt;STRONG&gt;Privacy &amp;amp; Security&lt;/STRONG&gt; &amp;gt; &lt;STRONG&gt;Local Network&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&amp;nbsp;You’ll find Chrome in the list of apps.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Turn on&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;Local Network&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;for Chrome to allow access to your network. This will allow permissions for your device to discover Cast-enabled devices.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;LI&gt;Check if the issue is browser-specific:
