Then you should be happy because after updating to Android 14 Chromecast does not work, it has a lot of bugs.

I have 3 of 5 chromecast updated but the other 2 are stuck on 12 and wont update. It says they are up to date and no update available.

For the devices that have not yet received the update, the distribution process could take several weeks to wrap up. You can check periodically if there is an update available by following the steps below:

Go to the home screen of your streaming device.
Choose all settings.
System.
About.
System update.

I still have one major problem. My Chromecast Google TV 4K does not see the connected drive. After connecting it, it shows that the drive was properly disconnected. When will you fix this?
