Can't remove chromecast from Home App

My chromecast was not connecting to wifi, so I factory reset it. I set it up under a new name. It still appears as a device under the old name in my Home app, and I cannot access the settings under that device to delete it, as it only displays "Problem connecting to cloud" when selected in the app.

I apologize about the late response, thank you for your patience on this! Were you able to fix that Google Home issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, since I know it's annoying to have phantom device on the list. Let me just ask you some questions about what's happening:

What version of the Google Home app are you using?
Are you able to access the Google Home device settings from another phone or tablet?
Are you able to access the old Chromecast settings from the Google Assistant services settings?
What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?
