"Play the news" on [Chromecast device] stopped working

I have two Chromecast Audios in 2 different rooms, and they're working after the March 2025 update. For many years, I have started my day by asking Google Assistant (via a Mini speaker) to "play the news" (my Assistant news feed) on a CCA device. This week, I can't get it to "play the news" on any CCA as in the past. News only plays on the Mini speaker, not the CCA no matter how much I try. But, when I ask the Assistant to play music (such as a radio station, or my YouTube Music library) it plays on the CCA device. I've tried clearing the Home app cache, rebooting the Mini, and renaming the CCA to fix. Is there a solution, and is this happening to others? Someone posted a similar issue a year ago on the Nest support forum and on Reddit. No resolution....

Hmm. Nobody?

One clue. "Play the news on (CCA)" plays on my Mini speaker not the CCA. If I then say, "Switch to (CCA)" it responds, "Sorry, I can't do that with this app." When I try the same thing with a radio station, it switches to the CCA. What's wrong here?

I have exactly the same issue. Spotify, no problem. News only on main device. Hope someone can suggest a fix
