No "My Photos" with ambient

I've been using ambient mode with my android tv box for quite a few years and have always used my photos.

Yesterday I noticed it was no longer showing my photos and when I go to the Android tv ambient setting in Google home app, it only gives me "Art Gallery" and "Experimental". No longer gives me the choice to pick my photos.

Both apps are up to date.

Hey, I have an android tv box with the Chromecast built in. Hope that answers your question.

I restarted the device.

I force stopped the Google home app, cleared cache.

I just noticed this happened last Wednesday (April 2nd).

Update: I disconnected the ethernet cable and ran my box in wifi and it fixed my issues. Will plug my ethernet in again and see if my problems happen again

Got ambient to post my photos but still can't stream anything from my phone to the box

Thanks for the update, and sorry for the delay. I understand that you already found a solution for the ambient mode with your TV box with the Chromecast built in, but you are still having problems streaming from your phone to the box. The recommendation would be to contact the TV box manufacturer for further assistance.

Nothing has changed with the box though. It has ethernet connected instead of wifi. If I disconnect the ethernet then the whole Chromecast thing works.
