I have tried all of the various suggestions that I have found, changing HDMI settings in the receiver (Denon AVR-x3400h), changing settings in the Streamer. No matter what I try the only output that works is 1080P. My Fire TV max works flawlessly. My blueray player is slow and finicky, but it also works just fine. I am so disappointed with the TV Streamer. It's not a hardware problem, other that being old from the start. The software is just bad.

Hi MarkBee,

Thanks for reaching out to our community.

I’m sorry to hear that your Google TV Streamer is still stuck with only 1080p output, despite you having tried so many troubleshooting steps. No worries, help is here.

Before I start further troubleshooting, let me ask you a few questions:

Is the Google TV Streamer directly plugged into the TV set?

Do your TV and Denon AVR-x3400h support HDMI 2.1?

Does your Denon AVR-x3400h support HDCP 2.2?

How many Mbps is your internet connection speed?

Have you tried to manually turn on HDR or similar options related to HDR signal format from within the TV settings menu?

Is your Denon AVR-x3400h firmware updated?

How far from the router is your Google TV Streamer?

Is your Google TV Streamer 4K currently connected to a 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz network?

Is the Google TV Streamer connected through Wi-Fi or Ethernet?

If you are using an HDMI cable to connect your Google TV Streamer:

Are you using an 'Ultra High Speed' HDMI 2.1 certified cable?

How long is your HDMI cable?

Is your Google TV Streamer updated? Check out this article's Google Nest Help Center guide: Updates to your Chromecast or Google TV Streamer

Please keep me posted.

Best regards,
