Hi,

I have a chromecast (NC2-6A5) connected to my TV (LG UM7100plb).

I use the chrome browser to cast a 'desktop' from my PC (Win 10) to the TV via said chromecast.

It works great except when I try to cast a video game. I tried multiple games and the result is always the same - my PC just freezes to a point where the quickest way to fix the problem is to manually restart it. Nothing is cast on the TV either.

Is this some kind of hardware limitation I don't understand? Afaik It's just supposed to cast the screen feed so it shouldn't matter whether one's casting a youtube video or a video game being played live.

Cheers!

Hey there sandersa,

Thank you for visiting the Chromecast Community! Since this thread hasn't had activity in a while, we're going to close it to keep content fresh. We hope you were able to get the help you need, but if you're still having issues, casting of video games isn't technically a supported feature, but some folks have been able to cast if the game itself supports Borderless Windowed.

If the issue persists, feel free to create a new thread, and provide as many details as possible so that others can lend a hand. Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Jeran
