When I connect my Streamer to my Nest speaker the YouTube TV app will not open.

Thank you for posting in the community. I understand you're having trouble opening your YouTube TV app when connecting your Google TV Streamer (4K) with your Nest speaker. I'm here to help.

To assist you further, please answer the following questions:

When did the situation start?
What type of Nest speaker do you have? (Here is a helpful article to identify the type of Nest speaker.)
Do you have the same inconvenience with other apps?
Are you able to open your YouTube app on another device?
Are you using a YouTube Premium subscription?

In the meantime, please check if your YouTube app doesn't have any restrictions mode active; if so, please refer to a helpful article to check the settings of your YouTube TV.

I bought both devices on April 17th at Best Buy. Set them up on bedroom Vizio TV to play all sound through Nest Audio Chalk Serial number below. I first played music from YouTube and it worked fine. When I went to open YT TV it would not open. If I go back to TV speakers, it works fine. I tried the Nest speaker on my Sony TV in the living room and no problems with YTTV app opening.

Thank you for your prompt reply. I appreciate the detailed information. Let's work together to find a solution.

Based on your answers, please do the following recommendations:

Unplug your Vizio TV and Google TV (4K) Streamer device for 30 seconds. Cycling the power will “reboot” the devices, often resolving any troubles caused by extended use.
Delete the YouTube TV app and reinstall it. If any of the program code has been corrupted during the update process, a fresh install will resolve it.

Sorry ByronP, I had tried these steps before and tried them again this am with no result. I really feel it has something to do with the G. Streamer’s bluetooth and it must not be common. I would take it back to Best Buy but it has been too long since I bought it.

I just did a factory reset on the Streamer re-installed YTTV which opened fine. Connected to Nest Speaker and YTTV will not open.
