Google Chromecast tv remote does not pair , We have used 3 different google tv remotes and none will pair up in the past month and a have.. We have been without a tv for the last month and have. A technician come out to our place to make sure the internet and the like were ok. He was able to pair up the remote with difficulty. This was back in April, I think. The remote worked and in May and June still not able to pair the Google Chromecast tv remote. I have been on the internet to follow the instructions and still the led light on the remote will not flash or come on. We need someone to come out to our place and correct. We are at our wits end and ready to cut off Google. When we call the Chromecast line the recording directs to login to the internet for answers. Still not satisfied, as not one to correct the problem.

I understand how challenging it must be to have your Google Chromecast with Google TV remote not pairing, especially since you've tried three different remotes over the past month and a half and have been without a TV. I appreciate the troubleshooting efforts you've already made, and I'm sorry to hear that calling the Chromecast support line only directed you back to online resources. Please don't worry; I'm going to do my best to find a solution for you.

To assist you better, please answer these questions:

Are you using the latest version of the Google Home app? If not, you can learn how to update it here: How to update the Google Home app
What is the status of the LED light on your Chromecast with Google TV device (the dongle)?
Can you describe what was happening to the streaming device and remote 5 minutes prior to the remote not working?
Are there any error messages from the streaming device when this issue occurred? If so, can you please take a picture of the error message?
What type of batteries did you use? Are they the original batteries included in the box?
Where did you purchase your Chromecast with Google TV remote?

In the meantime, I recommend trying the following troubleshooting steps:

1. Check and Replace Batteries:

While checking the LED, remove and reinsert the battery. If the LED still doesn't flash twice, repeat this step.
While checking for the LED to flash twice, replace both batteries with the original batteries that came with the remote. If these batteries aren't available, use two fresh 1.5-volt AAA batteries.
Remove both batteries and wait for five minutes. While checking for the LED to flash twice, reinsert the batteries.
Check if the LED still doesn't blink. If it doesn't, continue to the next step.

2. Reboot your Chromecast with Google TV:

Unplug the USB-C connection from your Chromecast with Google TV to disconnect it from the power source.
Leave the device unplugged for one minute, then plug it back in.
Check if the inconvenience was resolved, if not, continue to the next step.

3. Unpair Your Voice Remote (if currently paired)

If your Voice Remote is paired with your Chromecast with Google TV, unpair it:

To navigate the TV screen, use your phone as the remote for your Chromecast with Google TV
On the TV screen, go to your account profile, then tap Settings.
Select Remotes and accessories.
Choose the Voice Remote option, then tap Forget, and finally select Yes.

4. Perform a Factory Reset on the Chromecast with Google TV Voice remote:

Remove the batteries for 5 minutes.
Hold the Home button for at least 15 seconds while you reinstall the batteries.
When the LED light starts to blink, release the button.

5. Pair the Voice remote.
