      <description>&lt;P class=""&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;I’m experiencing a display issue on my &lt;SPAN class=""&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Chromecast with Google TV (4K)&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt; device since updating to &lt;SPAN class=""&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Android 14&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;Whenever I play &lt;SPAN class=""&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Dolby Vision content in&amp;nbsp;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Exo/Media3(ex stremio, jellyfin)&lt;/STRONG&gt; then exit back to the home screen, the system &lt;SPAN class=""&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;remains stuck in Dolby Vision mode&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;, instead of switching back to SDR as expected. This causes the entire UI to appear washed out, overly dark, and improperly calibrated.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;I have &lt;SPAN class=""&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;“Match content dynamic range” enabled&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;, and this behavior &lt;SPAN class=""&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;worked correctly on Android 12&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;, where the system would return to SDR after playback. This issue only began after the Android 14 update — so it’s clearly a &lt;SPAN class=""&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;regression introduced in the latest system version&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;Please note:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp;This is not related to my internet connection, router, or display hardware — it’s a &lt;SPAN class=""&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;firmware-level video output bug&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt; reproducible across multiple displays and setups.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;I’d appreciate it if we could avoid generic troubleshooting questions that aren’t relevant to this issue.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;Manually switching the resolution to SDR resolves it temporarily, but obviously that shouldn’t be necessary.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;Please let me know if this is a known issue or if a fix is planned.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I'm currently on firmware version UTTC.241218.008.H1.13427172 (Chromecast with Google TV 4K).&lt;BR /&gt;Ever since the Android 14 update (starting from UTTC.241218.004), I've been experiencing an issue where Dolby Vision remains active after playback ends.&lt;BR /&gt;The issue is reproducible with multiple apps (e.g., Jellyfin, Netflix) and results in the system staying locked in Dolby Vision output even after exiting the video.&lt;BR /&gt;The TV continues to indicate Dolby Vision input, and the system doesn't revert back to SDR as expected.&lt;BR /&gt;This problem did not exist on Android 12 — HDMI output mode was reset properly after DV content.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;Importantly:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;- Match frame rate is enabled&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;- Match content dynamic range is enabled&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;- No issues with plan HDR&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please escalate this as a regression in HDMI/EDID handling after DV playback in Android TV 14.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Attached resolution form media3 team&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="https://github.com/androidx/media/issues/2595" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;https://github.com/androidx/media/issues/2595&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Based on your description, this would not be an ExoPlayer issue as ExoPlayer does not set the Display into Dolby/SDR mode. That might be an issue with the Chromecast or your TV. I'd definitely suggest logging feedback with those devices for this issue.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I've also tested on the other TV the same issue - So the issue with Chromecast with Google TV 4K&amp;nbsp; - What else I need to provide to make you fix the issuse?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
