Chromecast with Google TV (HD) , not going past Google Tv boot screen , unable to factory reset

Hi
i have raised my issue with Google via facebook and sent an email too but to no avail.

My Chromecast with google TV got stuck on boot screen that says Google Tv and wouldn't move past it.
Its showing as offline in google home app and just wont factory reset via the back button.

Tried booting to recovery and do a factory reset from there , but that also shows as failed down at the bottom for a split second..

Unable to find a way to get it to work ,

tried different wall outlets, different power adapters , different TVs , different cables and what not.

Is there any way to get it work 😞 ? to get it to boot or even factory reset .

To help me find the best solution, I'll need to ask you a few questions:

Is your Chromecast with Google TV (HD) plugged correctly into the TV and power source?
Is there any LED light on the Chromecast with Google TV (HD)?If yes, what’s the color of the LED light?
Do you have an AVR connected to your TV?
Did anything specific happen right before the Chromecast got stuck on the boot screen? (e.g., a power outage, a software update, dropping the device, a sudden loud noise, a specific action you took with the remote?)

Please keep me posted. I'll be waiting for your response.

Thanks for the reply.

1.. Yes it's connected to TV directly via hdmi and powered by wall adapter

2..as soon as you turn the power on, on the chromecast it shows orange light which tyuns to white

3.. There is a soundbar connected to the TV but it's in a different hdmi port.. FYI I have tried connecting my chromecast to my pc monitor as well, behavior is the same.

4.. Nothing specific really... I turned it on the home screen came but it wasn't getting populated was taking a lot of time but still didn't show any home screen tiles, just tbe top menu was showing..

I simply turned the chromecast and the tv off and turned on after a few seconds and since then it's stuck on that square google tv logo and not going anywhere.

Strangely something else had happened 1 year back, the chromecast had lost wifi and it was as if the wifi modem was not turning on at all..

That was the first time I tried factory reset and I realised the partition wipe was failing and the chromecast hadn't updated itself as well as it's os was showing older version.. Though I had got the wifi turned on by attaching a lan adapter but I am sure the chromecast wasn't getting updates and i wasn't able to factory reset either ( via any possible way.. And mind you I am a bit savy when it comes to booting in recovery of android and stuff)
