chromecast google tv HD android 14 update removed advanced picture options and functionality, downgrade android version is this possible?

Previously on androud 12/13 I could set RGB8 bit and SDR only, i do not want FRC and HDR brightness. I would have banding on 8bit to know FRC was not in use, this was perfect.

Android 14 was force updated, i never saw any notification of this (but perhaps someone else in the household did accept update) I had updates disabled but perhaps this is only for app updates.

It then defaulted to ycbcr12bit and HDR., I have set it back to SDR (hidden menu compared to previosuly) and RGB8bit but as my TV panel is 8+2 FRC, now there is no banding and FRC is in use, FRC is high speed flicker and i do not want this as flicker causes me migraines, no other changes have been made to my TV its just the chromecast.

How do I disable FRC like it was before?

If not possible can I restore android 12/13 instead of 14?

If not why not?? I paid for this device and it is now unusable for me, it is not fair that a system 'upgrade' is allowed to break the device, I did not ask for update it was perfect before.
