Spotify keeps disconnecting from Nest Audio randomly

Hi everyone,

Lately, I've been having a weird issue where Spotify randomly disconnects from my Nest Audio speaker during playback. It starts playing fine for a few minutes, then suddenly stops—no voice command or interaction, it just cuts off. Sometimes it reconnects on its own after a few seconds, but other times I have to restart the song manually using my phone or repeat the voice command.

I’ve already tried rebooting the speaker, removing and re-linking Spotify from the Google Home app, and even switching to a different Wi-Fi network just to test. Spotify works perfectly on my phone and laptop, and the speaker has no problem playing YouTube Music or radio stations. It just seems to be Spotify that’s unstable on Nest.

To help me get to the bottom of this, please answer the following questions:

What is your Nest Audio’s firmware version? You can use this article as a reference: Find your device’s firmware version.
Have there been any recent changes to your network or any new devices added around the time this started happening?
Does the issue happen with all types of Spotify content (e.g. specific songs, playlists, podcasts)?
What exact voice command do you say when trying to play music?
Do you have another Google Nest speaker or display you could test Spotify on to see if the same thing happens?
Does the issue also happen when you cast from your phone's Spotify app directly to the Nest Audio?
