Youtube tv on chrome cast with google tv freezes constanly

When I use my chromecast with Google tv to watch YouTube tv I experience constant freezing and buffering. When I use the tvs built in youtube tv app I have no issues whatsoever. Is this a known issue with chromecast with Google tv?

Both are connected to the 5gz connection but have also tried with 2.4gz in case of interference somehow. Same result chromecast freezes tv native app is fine.
